The Enchanted Alp

Nature, sport and fun

During the summer months the Lusia Alp is a place of enchantment: not just for the surrounding charming countryside, but most of all because of the entanglement of history, legends and amusements that this fabulous location has to of- fer. As soon as the snow is melting and the flowers carpet the fields, the goats are put out into their pastures, the themed pathways are opened up and trekking enthusiasts or bike lovers can return to explore the forests.

The mountain pastures of Lusia offer relaxing, green fields in summer, which are easily reached. From the convenient, large car park at the Lusia Cable Car station, at Ronchi, Moena, travelling above steep slopes and thick forests, you reach the peak and Chalet Valbona with its wide sunny terraces, where you can enjoy some local delicacies.

Going up from Bellamonte, instead, you can leave the car at Castelir, where there is the Cable Car departure to Le Fassane. Here you can stop and admire the new thematic paths designed for children, including magic ponds and bird watching stations. Otherwise, you can proceed to the second section of the Cable Car up to the gentle grassy slopes of La Morea and follow some pleasent path by bike or by foot.

On the Val di Fassa side, thanks to the PANORAMAPASS, you can use the lifts of the Val di Fassa which are open in the summer: from Marmolada to Pordoi, to Sassolungo, to Catinaccio-Rosengarten, to Costabella and Monzoni. The pass gives also access to all local public transport. The Panoramapass can be bought from the ski lift ticket offices and is available in three different types: 3 days out of 6, 6 days out of 6 or 7 days out of 13. Go to website >>>
