Skiing in the world Heritage

On Friday, 26th June 2009, in Seviglia, the Dolomites have been placed on the prestigious list of natural world heritage sites, thanks to the existence of vast natural parks, national parks and Natura 200 protected zones, which have preserved the central areas of the Dolomites for decades. The decision was made by UNESCO at its annual world congress, in which it has been declared that the Dolomites are unique from the botanical, geological and morphological point of view and therefore incomparable with other mountains in the world.
